Venue Information

The House

The seating capacity of QUARTET 44 is approximately 80 patrons.
Each table will accommodate 4 people. Tickets are general
admission and seating is on a first come, first serve basis. In
some instances and by special prior arrangement, some tables
may be reserved for VIP seating. Patrons will be seated in all
available seats, so it is possible that you may have some new
friends seated at your table.

The stage is approximately 9 ft deep by 18 ft wide. It is
approximately 4 inches off the floor. There is audience seating
directly forward of the stage. All seating is in line of sight of the
stage.

The Sound

The house main sound system consists of 2 BOSE PAS L1
systems with B1 units. Each PAS system has 4 discreet channels
with 1 input for each channel. Each system can be adjusted from
the L1 base amplification unit or from the tethered remote. The PAS
system eliminates the need for dedicated PA, stage monitors,
mixer and on-stage instrument amplification. Unlike conventional
sound equipment, sound is radiated outward in waves rather than
reflected at floor and ceiling surfaces.

system.

A Tascam MM1 or Alesis 1622 mixer is available when direct input
to the BOSE PAS system does not provide sufficient signal control.
The mixer and additional processing equipment is available at the
mix desk.

2 Audix OM5 mikes are available for performance use. These
mikes are ideally suited for vocals.

The Instruments

Quartet 44 has acquired a 1990 Young Chang G150 baby grand
piano. This piano has very good tone, leaning toward the bright
side, but very full. The distinctive sound of Young Chang pianos is
created in large part by their uniquely designed soundboards.
Asymmetrically crowned for greater power and projection, their
soundboards are crafted of the finest Sitka spruce for the fullest,
richest tone. Their plates are precision vacuum-injection molded
for optimum strength and strung with German premium core wire,
the finest piano wire in the world.

We also have a very nice Kurzweil Mark IV Ensemble Grand digital
piano. This very versatile instrument has a full size 88 key piano
action keyboard. In addition to a number of high quality sampled
piano sounds, it also has electric piano, string, acoustic bass,
vibes and brass sounds.
